UDCA May Reduce Need for Surgery in Gallstone Management After Bariatric Surgery
Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) may provide a safe and effective alternative to surgery for dissolving gallstones in patients who have undergone sleeve gastrectomy, according to a new study. Gallstones dissolved in 60% of patients treated with UDCA, with fewer hospitalisations and mild side effects.
