At the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Asia 2015 Congress, held in Singapore from 18 December to 21 December 2015, Karim Fizazi, MD, PhD, from Institut Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, summarises the recent progress in the management of patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer. In addition to an improvement in patient care, there have been improvements in imaging procedures as well as the pathological and molecular understanding of prostate cancer.
