Speaker bio:

Arndt Vogel attended medical school at Georg-August University Göttingen, Germany, and undertook his residency at Hannover Medical School, Germany, before completing a postdoctoral fellow at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, USA. Since then, he has worked as a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology before achieving a Professorship in Gastrointestinal Oncology in 2012. Since then, Vogel has become Head of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center and Head of the Center for Personalized Medicine at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover.

Since 2018, he has acted as Co-ordinator of the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for Hepatocellular Carcinoma. In 2020, he became a member of the ESMO Guidelines Steering Committee, and since 2021 he has been a member of the ESMO Faculty for Gastrointestinal Tumours and Co-ordinator of the ESMO Clinical Practice Guideline for Biliary Tract Cancers. In 2022, Vogel also become a member of the ESMO Real-World Data and Digital Health Working Group.
