David Gómez-Almaguer is the Head of the Haematology Service at the University Hospital in Monterrey, Mexico, and the Director of the Stem Cell Transplantation Program, the only FACT-accredited program in the country. He obtained his medical degree degree from the University of Nuevo León in Monterrey and completed his training in haematology and internal medicine at the Instituto Nacional de Nutrición y Ciencias Médicas Salvador Zubirán in Mexico City.
Gómez-Almaguer has an extensive research portfolio, having published over 308 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and several book chapters, with a focus on stem cell transplantation.
