What to Expect from EMJ in 2017

WITH THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS a mere twinkle of a memory, the festive season has well and truly been and gone, finding ourselves settled into January. Whilst January, for most, comes with the expectation of new resolutions, here at the European Medical Journal (EMJ), our only resolution we have is to be the best we can be. We cannot help but be motivated and filled with anticipation for what the year ahead holds, and we want nothing more than to share this excitement with our readers.

Whilst others may tread into 2017 with trepidation, here at EMJ, the team is working full steam ahead. In case you missed it, our inaugural edition of EMJ Innovations 1.1 has already been published and is definitely an eJournal not to be missed. Offering a much-needed platform for authors and readers alike to readily travel the latest developments surrounding emerging medical practices, our first edition explores the potential of technology to aid the health industry. In addition to a range of articles, you can find a full review of MEDICA 2016, the largest and most significant medical trade fair worldwide, interviews with our EMJ Innovations Editorial Board, and more.

Over the next 12 months, EMJ will be bringing you free, open-access eJournals from across a plethora of therapeutic areas, as well as new editions of our flagship publication the European Medical Journal. Our diary is already jam-packed with medical congresses to attend from each therapeutic area, but before you panic, do not worry! We will be sharing the latest health news and developments from each medical congress we attend in our open-access journals.

But wait! If you thought that was enough to keep you going for 2017, the team at EMJ still has more content up its sleeve; Phew! If you are interested in a particular therapeutic area, (perhaps even all of those we cover at EMJ!), do not forget to subscribe to receive our quarterly newsletters straight to your inbox. Packed with the latest news updates from each specific field, in addition to key events and articles you will not want to miss, you will want to subscribe!

Thank you for joining us on our blogging platform, and be sure to keep an eye out for future blog posts to see what the team gets up to throughout the year. If you are still hungry for more medical content, why not check out our social media channels or even get in contact if you have any blog ideas you wish to share with the medical world.

With the next chapter of the EMJ story well underway for 2017, we wish you a happy new year filled with positivity and determination for the months ahead!
