Getting Ahead of Respiratory Disease Together at ERS 2024

Respiratory

This is organised and funded by GSK and is intended for healthcare professionals only.

Ahead of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress 2024 in Vienna, Austria, Alberto Papi and Cedric “Jamie” Rutland share with us which areas of respiratory science have attracted their attention at ERS. Some of the topics include:

  • Burden of disease caused by respiratory pathogens, such as RSV, and the impact on quality of life and healthcare systems
  • New hot topics, such as refractory chronic cough, as well as discussion on the resurgence of old problems like pertussis
  • Important updates to guidelines, which detail guidance on both preventive measures and treatment
  • Other scientific session that will hopefully help to improve outcomes for millions of patients around the world…

Alberto Papi
Professor of Respiratory Medicine, University of Ferrara, Italy; and Director of the Respiratory Unit, Department of Emergency Medicine, Saint Anna University Hospital, Ferrara, Italy

Cedric “Jamie” Rutland
Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician, Rutland Medical Group, Newport Beach, California, USA

If you are attending ERS, feel free to spend some time with Papi and Rutland at the GSK medical booth at various times throughout the week to discuss these topics and maybe more.
