PROGRESSIVE multiple sclerosis (MS) posed an important topic of discussion at the 38th European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) Congress, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, between 26th–28th October 2022. Throughout the engaging session on progressive MS, chaired by Kathy Smith, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York, USA, and Jan Meilof, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, key learning and focus points to consider for the future of clinical trials and treatments were summarised and spotlighted.

The current treatments for children with multiple sclerosis (MS) was a theme explored in a session at this year’s conference of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS), which took place on the 26th–28th October 2022. The speakers shared their insights into the management and clinical consequences of MS in children, and discussed perspectives as to why immunomodulatory treatment is different in children with MS.

AFTER 2 years of virtual meetings, the 58th European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting took a hybrid form, with 7,716 participants onsite in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as 3,291 participants online. The programme of the congress was developed to cover the most recent developments and breaking news relating to diabetes research, covering the latest innovations and developments in the treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes (T2D), as well as their complications.

THIS year’s European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting 2022 was a hybrid congress, which focused on inclusion and interaction within the global diabetes community whether participants attended in person in Stockholm, Sweden, or virtually.

THREE years after the last in-person European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress, the 2022 congress welcomed nearly 23,000 participants in Paris, France, as well as 5,000 online. The purpose of the congress was a celebration of being back together, and of collaboration between all healthcare professionals wanting to improve survival times for patients.
