This webinar explores ultrasound in the assessment of psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Expert guest Rizwan Rajak, Clinical Lead for Rheumatology, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, UK, provides an up-to-date review of the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the diagnosis and assessment of PsA. Specifically, the clinical presentation and benefit of ultrasound in entheseal disease, paratenon disease, and dactylitis are discussed through the presentation of case studies and real-world images.

Speaker:
Rizwan Rajak graduated with Honours from Cardiff Medical School, UK, in 2005 before becoming a consultant at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath, UK. He is currently the Clinical Lead for Osteoporosis and Bone Health, and Rheumatology Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in the Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, UK. Within these roles, Rajak has developed a multidisciplinary, integrated bone health service and a diagnostic and interventional service for which he received the Clinical Excellence Award in 2017. Further achievements include the Teaching Excellence Award, received when serving as Lead Clinical Tutor in Cardiff.
Rajak has also completed a Master’s in medical law at Cardiff Law School, using this training to become Chair for the Medicines Management Committee and Medicines Safety Group at Croydon Health Services, with the remit of promoting optimal prescribing practice, and reviewing medicines policies and guidelines.
