Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis (AAV) refers to a group of rare autoimmune inflammatory conditions that affect small- and medium-sized blood vessels in the body. Due to the rarity of AAV, there is currently limited awareness of the disease, not only among patients themselves, but also physicians. This article features interviews with four key opinion leaders on the topic of AAV, who offered their perspectives on current key challenges associated with the disease and its understanding.
