Oncology

A multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach is considered the gold standard for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The objectives of this webinar are to:

  • Summarise key changes in MDT practice in the past and the lessons learned and benefits derived from these changes
  • Examine current practices in the MDT approach and where change may be needed, and discuss how change may be achieved and potential barriers to this change
  • Summarise how the introduction of new treatments has impacted on the MDT approach in the past, and evaluate the potential impact of newly approved treatments on current multidisciplinary cancer care

This webinar was funded by a medical educational grant from AstraZeneca, with the purpose of enhancing the fundamental understanding of oncology specialists of the value of a multidisciplinary team approach in the management of patients with cancer.
