Our Editor’s Pick for this issue, chosen by our Editor-in-Chief Prof Rajeshwar Reddy, is Dr Oliver Grundmann’s paper Gastrointestinal Inflammation and the Gut Microbiome: An Evolving Conceptual Framework with Implications for Diagnosis and Therapy in Inflammatory Bowel Disorders. Dr Grundmann describes the link between normal microbial flora of the gut and health and disease, as well as the latest in antibiotic therapy.
