Speaker bio:

Having graduated with honours from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, USA, Michael Reardon went on to complete a 5-year general surgery residency under renowned surgeon Michael DeBakey in the Baylor Affiliated Hospitals, and a 2-year cardiothoracic residency at the Texas Heart Institute, Houston. Reardon then served as Professor of Surgery, as well as Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Program Director of the Cardiothoracic Residency, and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. Throughout his career, Reardon has worked in various administrative roles at the Houston Methodist Hospital, including President of the Medical Staff.

In addition to his numerous roles in academia and clinical practice, Reardon serves as the national surgery principal investigator for several clinical trials, including the SURTAVI, Evolut Low-Risk, Reprise III, and ACURATE TAVR trials. He is also the national study chair for the ARISE type A stent graft and Cephea TMVR EFS trials, and has authored over 800 medical and scientific papers.
