Speaker bio:

Jennifer Dixon completed her medical degree at the University of Bristol, UK, where she was made an Honorary Doctor of Science in 2016. She went on to complete an MSc at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK, where she received a distinction, and at the University of Aberdeen, UK, gaining a Certificate in Health Economics. Dixon was part of the King’s Fund alongside studying for her PhD, where she led a wide range of analyses and research projects.

She initially specialised in paediatric medicine across London’s teaching hospitals, before transferring her vast array of skills to a career in policymaking. In 2023, Dixon took up a previous role as Honorary Lecturer at the London School of Economics, UK. She is also a former Honorary Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the Imperial College Business School, UK. Dixon is also Chief Executive Officer of The Health Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of healthcare within the UK population.
