Laren Tan, Associate Professor of Medicine, Loma Linda University Health in California, USA, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Cytology from Loma Linda University School of Allied Health in 2003 and his MD from Loma Linda University in 2009. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of California, Davis.
In 2015, Laren became the Medical Director of Loma Linda University’s Hyperbaric Medicine Program, the first and largest in the region to achieve national and international accreditation by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society in 2017. That same year, he also took on the role of Medical Director of Loma Linda University’s Hospital Wound Operation Services, focusing on establishing the medical centre as a leader in wound care.
Laren is also deeply involved in intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship, precision marketing, and innovative healthcare solutions. He is the Chief and Creator of the Centre for Innovation and Promotions within the Department of Medicine at Loma Linda University Health. Additionally, he founded and serves as President of Ignis Medical Innovations, a think tank dedicated to addressing local and global healthcare needs.
