EMJ wins a Queen’s Award for Enterprise

EMJ has been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

EMJ is one of 225 organisations nationally to be recognised by the Queen’s Award for Enterprise scheme, announced today (Thursday 21st April 2022).

Employing 80 people, EMJ was set up in 2012 as a healthcare publisher reaching medical professionals around the world. EMJ’s journals are produced across a range of therapeutic areas from rheumatology to cardiology and offer free and open access to all.

Their commercial model is built around enabling organisations, particularly pharmaceutical firms, to reach healthcare professionals through the publication and sponsorship of congress highlights and reviews.

Over the last 10 years, the company has established successful long-term relationships with some of the most renowned pharmaceutical companies in the world and works alongside leading medical writers to deliver the best in class content for its clients and readers.

Spencer Gore, Founder and Executive Chairman, said that the honour was a testament to all those who worked at EMJ and who had made it the international success it is.

Now in its 56th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards emblem for the next five years.

It’s already been a notable year for EMJ with significant growth.

The company has recently been recognised in the UK’s Best Small Companies to work for scheme (March 2022 findings) with staff voting it a Two Star Organisation, up on all measures of leadership, wellbeing and culture, making it one of the top 10 best small companies to work for in London and in the top five for the Health and Social Care sector.
