EMJ, Europe’s leading digital health communications company, has been ranked in the 2022 edition of The Sunday Times 100, Britain’s fastest-growing private companies, published this week.
The prestigious annual ranking – formerly known as The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 series – which celebrated the country’s leading entrepreneurs for 24 years – positioned EMJ as 60th, recognising its significant achievements during a challenging couple of years.
Sales at the publishing group increased by over 60% to £10m.
Employing 80 people, EMJ was set up in 2012 as a healthcare publisher reaching medical professionals around the world. EMJ’s journals are produced across a range of therapeutic areas from rheumatology to cardiology and offer free and open access to all.
The fastest-growth accolade comes as the company celebrated 10 years in business and announced a new chapter this month with a confident rebrand aimed at playing an enhanced role in global healthcare education post-pandemic.
Spencer Gore, Founder and Executive Chairman at EMJ, said it had been a goal to make it on to the list as soon as he founded the business. He said: “I am so happy to have now achieved this and am incredibly excited by what the next 10 years will bring for EMJ.
“What a huge achievement for every single person, team member, client, advisor and supplier that has played a part in the growth and success of the company. We should all be very proud.”
Since 2012 the company has established successful long-term relationships with some of the most renowned pharmaceutical companies in the world, working alongside leading medical writers to deliver the best-in-class content for its clients and readers.
This is not the first recognition for growth this year for EMJ. The brand won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in April.
