Speaker bio:

Richard Cohen completed his medical education at the University of Cambridge, UK. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon to St Mark’s Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital in London, UK, before moving to University of London College Hospitals (UCLH), UK. He and has held senior posts in both the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, and at UCLH, as Divisional Clinical Director of Theatres and Anaesthetics, Divisional Clinical Director of GI Services, and finally Trust Clinical Director for Patient Flow. Since 2019, he has been involved with the design of services at the new Cleveland Clinic London, where he is now Medical Director, Chief of Surgery, and Chair of the Digestive Disease and Integrated Surgery Institutes. He is also Professor of Surgery at University College London, UK, and Clinical Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA.
