Speaker bio:

Nick Oliver is a Clinical Research Physician with a special interest in the application of technologies treating long-term conditions, like diabetes. He is now in his 25th year as an doctor in the National Health Service (NHS), and has an impressive list of appointments including spells at St. Mary’s Hospital, Watford General Hospital, and presently Imperial College, all in the UK.

Completing his education first in molecular endocrinology, Nick went on to study and qualify from Imperial College School of Medicine at St. Mary’s, London, UK, and has come full circle as current Head of Section and Clinical Director at the same institution. He is a member of several committees and multiple societies, including the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), the British Endocrine Society, Diabetes UK, and the European Association for Study of Diabetes (EASD). With close to 200 peer-reviewed publications, alongside co-authoring two books and multiple book chapters, Nick is a well-recognised leader in his field. On a side note, whilst studying medicine, he also found time to write two plays.
