Eva Parker was educated at the University of Denver in Colorado, USA, where she majored in environmental science. She continued her training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Aurora, USA, where she graduated with a doctorate in medicine. She is now Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Faculty Lead for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Parker also volunteers at Siloam Health and Share Tree Clinic, both in Nashville, where she provides dermatologic care to immigrant, refugee, and underserved populations, as well as at Addis Clinic, where she provides telehealth consultations, and has taught in resource-limited settings.
