The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer-Cutaneous Lymphoma Task Force (EORTC-CLTF) Annual Meeting hosted in the Greek capital of Athens late last year showcased high-standard scientific research and findings from the latest studies in cutaneous lymphoma therapy. This review includes highlights from several different sessions across the meeting in which speakers discussed key studies of chlormethine (CL) gel as a therapeutic strategy in treating mycosis fungoides cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (MF-CTCL). The sessions discussed mycosis fungoides and the efficacy of CL gel in this cutaneous non-Hodgkin lymphoma, where skin alteration occurs after uncontrolled growth of the pathological skin-homing T-lymphocytes. Discussed studies investigated the tolerability and ease of use of CL gel alongside other medication and therapeutic options.
