United Kingdom, May 09, 2017: Welcome to the newest edition of our EMJ Urology eJournal, packed with the latest urological developments. This issue is jam-packed with interviews, abstracts, and peer-reviewed papers covering a wide range of topics and research. Highlights from the European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress 2017 are covered within this issue, sharing the latest ground-breaking research. The year’s 5-day EAU congress was held in London, UK, in March. Inside is a selection of the >1,100 abstract reviews written from those who attended the congress, which offers an insight into advancements made in the field of urology and its subspecialties. The EAU congress covered original, unpublished data and the most cutting-edge interventions. In addition to the captivating congress review section is an assortment of peer-reviewed articles. The Editor’s Pick for this issue is by Ni and Htet and is an exemplary consideration of adrenal cortical carcinoma. Alongside this are several other thought-provoking articles: Butcher and Serefoglu consider the topic of premature ejaculation and cover recent advances in pharmacotherapy of the same, while Hermans et al. report on an unusual case of an adult male patient incidentally diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation and provide a literature review. Gómez Rivas et al. outline the possibilities available to urologists when determining whether a repeat biopsy should be performed in a patient with a previously negative biopsy result but rising prostate-specific antigen. Aggarwal et al. have written a clinical review of renal stones and finally, Chokalingam et al. examine the management of anterior urethral structures.
