Ard discussed the benefits of meal replacements, presenting data evidencing the associated increased rates of Type 2 diabetes mellitus remission. Mehal focused on sustained weight loss and improved liver health, highlighting the benefits of very low-calorie diets. This article reviews their expert evidence on the utilisation of nutritional strategies in individuals with Type 2 diabetes mellitus, with a focus on optimising glycaemic control and achieving remission.
