John H. Stone, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and The Edward A. Fox Chair in Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, has dedicated his career to studying complex rheumatic diseases. Co-founder of the Vasculitis Center at Johns Hopkins University, he has led pioneering trials such as the WGET and RAVE trials, transforming treatment protocols for granulomatosis with polyangiitis and ANCA-associated vasculitis. Currently, Dr. Stone is at the forefront of research into IgG4-related disease and glucocorticoid toxicity, striving to bring new therapies to patients. He also serves as the Executive Chairman of The IgG4ward! Foundation, a patient advocacy group for IgG4-related disease. Outside the lab, Dr. Stone is an avid cyclist and marathon runner, and a passionate football (soccer) fan.
