Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPET): A State-Of-The-Art Diagnostic Tool

In this workshop held at ERS 2023, Piergiuseppe Agostoni guides the audience towards a deeper understanding of cardiopulmonary exercise testing. CPET is a widely used diagnostic tool, considered the gold standard, for providing a holistic assessment of body functions including cardiac, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and sympathetic nervous systems during exercise. CPET is mandatory in several diseases such as heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, lung diseases, and unexplained dyspnoea.
