Speaker bio:

Ariel Halevy completed his medical education at the University of Bologna, Italy, and surgical post-graduate studies at Tel Aviv University, Israel. He then completed a PhD on the role of the thyroid gland in calcium metabolism. Halevy became a consultant and chief of surgery at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, Be’er Ya’akov, Israel, as well as Chairman of the Division of Surgery at the same hospital. He continued his academic career as a professor of surgery at Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University.
