Introducing EMJ Urology 4.1

United Kingdom, April 21, 2016: This edition of the EMJ Urology eJournal, as in previous editions, is full of the latest news, reviews, interviews, and peer-reviewed articles. This issue presents a comprehensive summary of the recent European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress 2016, interviews with the EMJ Urology Editorial Board, and a selection of peer-reviewed articles that have been submitted by some of the brightest minds in urology.

Included in this edition is a comprehensive review of the EAU16 Congress, with a number of news stories from across the field; alongside this, there is a selection of abstract reviews on research presented during the congress. These stretch from historical perspectives through to the latest in genetic sequencing and bedside technology. A number of the esteemed Editorial Board members have taken time out of their busy schedules to share the developments they are following, the research they are undertaking, and give their comments on the latest urological news in a selection of exclusive interviews with EMJ Urology that are not to be missed.

The peer-reviewed articles in this edition take on the most contemporary and controversial topics in urological practice and unpick the evidence. The Editor’s Pick, from Jin et al., takes a fascinating look into PSMA-specific ligands in prostate cancer. Satyanarayan et al. provide a review of the surgical management of post-prostatectomy incontinence. Asking the question ‘tubular ectasia of the rete testis: what is behind it?’, Rogel and colleagues tackle the issue in their detailed review. On top of this, there are further articles on the topics of surgical techniques, oncology, and the pathogenesis of urinary tract infections. The whole eJournal can be viewed here.

Zoe Webster, Head of Publishing at EMJ said: “It is our belief that the quality of the content included in this eJournal is of a high standard, due to continuous improvement throughout our publishing procedures. We hope that EMJ Urology positively contributes to the continual advances that we are seeing in the field of urology.”
