The Role of IL-6 in Autoimmune Disease

Rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, is an incompletely understood disorder. The complex pathophysiology of RA is regulated in part by a network of different cytokines, including interleukin 6 (IL-6). The pivotal role of IL-6 in RA is explored in this video, including its local and systemic effects in the body and the impact of IL-6 dysregulation.

This video was shown at the Roche and Chugai Satellite Symposium ‘Precision Medicine: Maximising treatment benefit for RA patients’ that took place on 9th June 2016 at EULAR 2016.
