At the Thirteenth International Kidney Cancer Symposium, Dr Abraham Ari Hakimi (Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY) discusses the current understanding of sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Sarcomatoid RCC is an aggressive subtype of RCC and presents significant clinical challenges. Modern technologies, including whole-genome sequencing, are hoped to improve the understanding of this disease biology, which ultimately guides treatment and improves disease management.
